Messy Massage Class explores interactions between undefined creatures. The curious beings embodied by the dancers, display unique individual behaviours, resembling that of disoriented fauna reacting to earthly currents and displacement in an unfamiliar, typically human post-industrial setting.

A projekt célja, hogy több nézőpontból, szimultán mutassa meg a mozdulat és a torna mechanikáját. A test megfeszülésének dinamikája, a forma és a vonalak a tornász mozgásának izolálásával és az ismétléssel kapnak hangsúlyt. A méretre készített, gondosan beállított tükörpanelek megsokszorozzák és felbontják a megkoreografált mozgást, az uniformizálás mellett teret hagyva a véletlennek.
A tükrök mögötti háttér, a környezet részben látható, mely a kétértelműséget fokozza, és bizonyítja, hogy a díszlet valós térben létezik, és nem csak utómunka eredménye.
A filmben szereplő profi tornászok tudása volt a biztosíték a mozgás feletti teljes kontrolra és a tökéletes szinkronra.

The aim of this project was to illustrate the mechanics of movement and athleticism via multiple and simultaneous viewpoints. The dynamics of body tension, form and line are emphasised by isolating and repeating fragments of the athletes in motion. An exacting set constructed using bespoke mirrored panels to multiply and dissect the choreographed movement was designed to guarantee a certain uniformity, while also allowing for an added randomness in each take.
It was always my intention for the background to be visible, in part, behind the mirrors, to add to the ambiguity, and establish that the set exists in a real space, and is not a construct of post production. The athletes cast were of international standard, their level of expertise enabling a
controlled and directed synchronicity of movement.
