2018. októberében, a Parallel Művészeti Alapítvány meghívására utazott Budapestre a Dancing Cities stábja, hogy Brüsszel, London és Luxembourg után itt forgassák le a sorozat következő epizódjait.
Tíz koreográfussal járták éjjel-nappal a várost, hogy közösen válasszák ki az egyes jelenetek felvételéhez a tökéletes helyszínt, a szabad improvizáció terét. A város hangjai és a benne élő emberek fűzik egésszé az egyes képeket. Az Overground így lesz a város portréja, amelyet a kreatív erők, az elkapott pillanatok, az állandó történések és a változó hangulatok rajzolnak.
We shot this film in Budapest in October 2018, invited by Parallel Art Foundation, which is dedicated to initiate creative exchanges between Hungary and the international scene in dance and cinema. In collaboration with ten dancers and choreographers, we walked through the city of Budapest day and night, to choose places where each and everyone proposed a spontaneous dance improvisation. The film is woven thanks to the sound material provided by the city of Budapest, and thanks to the movements of the people who live, travel, pass by it daily. Overground is thus both the portrait of a city by those who are its creative force and the capture of a given moment, of a vitality that keeps on existing while the atmosphere around is uncertain. After Brussels, London and Luxembourg, Budapest is the most recent chapter of the Dancing Cities series, started in 2016 by the All we can do is dance team.
